Circle of African American Leaders for the Arts

Started in 2015, this group recognizes men and women in the community who value the impact, reach and quality of the arts in Greater Cincinnati and support ArtsWave with an annual leadership gift of $1,500 or more. Members of the Circle of African American Leaders recognize the power of the arts to bridge cultural divides and bring together people of different races and ethnic groups.

The Circle was launched under the leadership of ArtsWave trustees Mel Gravely, Delores Hargrove-Young and Edgar Smith. Members enjoy a variety of arts experiences and engagement opportunities that allow them to connect with each other and to see their gift to ArtsWave in action.

The Cincinnati chapter of the NAACP compiled a list at the beginning of the 2016-2017 performing arts season to celebrate African-American cultural arts in our region. Be sure to click on the link below to check out the remaining events through May of 2017.
