Apply for Volunteer Assistance
ArtsWave offers arts and culture organizations a number of capacity-building resources. Below are the different programs we offer. If your organization is seeking assistance but its unsure of the best resource, please contact us directly at aso@TheArtsWave.org.
Help With Grant Writing
If your organization is interested in having a grant narrative reviewed prior to submission to a funder, please email the narrative in Word or text format to Mike Boberg at mike.boberg@TheArtsWave.org. He will forward it to the Unbiased Grant Reading Oversite reveiw team (U-GRO) who volunteer their time specifically to assist in grant writing.
Arts Connection
Primarily an e-mail listserve, Arts Connection links volunteers with a limited amount of time to organizations seeking very short, non-committal volunteer opportunities. If you have a one-day/evening "in-and-out," two-to-three-hour-long project ranging from ushering to working a booth at an event, to painting a set, to stuffing mailers, sign up for the Arts Connection. Very specific information (given by you) is e-mailed to volunteers who have opted-in to receive it. Please send the completed form and questions to Mike Boberg. Download the form here.
Business Volunteers for the Arts
If you are looking for a volunteer from the community to assist in a project that is going to last for six to eight months, apply for Business Volunteers for the Arts. We have a group of volunteers looking to use their skills, be challenged with new experiences, and want to assist organizations that benefit our community. The project can be anything from strategic planning, accounting, marketing plans, website development, etc. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Mike Boberg.
BOARDway Bound Board Bank
This program which matches GREAT trained leaders with GREAT organizations in our art and culture communities. Candidates have graduated from a board leadership program sponsored by ArtsWave (such as BOARDway Bound or Business on Board), or a like leadership program offered elsewhere in the community. If you are interested in in this program for your organization, download the form here and send it to Heather Hallenberg at heather.hallenberg@TheArtsWave.org.
