ArtsWave offers several volunteer programs. We meet individually with each interested applicant to ensure that everyone is paired with the program that makes the best use of their respective talents, interests, and available time.
Welcomers Community Volunteer Network of Cincinnati USA/ Northern Kentucky is a network designed to connect area residents, who enjoy volunteering and welcoming visitors, with local attractions and arts, cultural and special events. Several local arts organizations, including Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Arts Association, use the Welcomers Network to fill their volunteer needs. You can register online here to be in the network and can choose to receive emails alerting you about new volunteers opportunities.
If you're interested in serving as an usher for a particular local theater or organization, we recommend contacting that organization's box office directly and asking about how to volunteer.
Serving as a board member on an arts and culture board is both rewarding and challenging. Leadership training specifically focused on the arts and culture sector increases prospective board member effectiveness in this critical leadership role. Offered in the spring and fall annually, ArtsWave’s BOARDway Bound program consists of classroom sessions and independent online learning designed to coach professionals as potential board members and link them to Greater Cincinnati arts and culture organizations.
