Arts Connection
Primarily an e-mail listserve, Arts Connection links volunteers with a limited amount of time, to organizations seeking very short, non-committal volunteer opportunities.
Best Suited For:
Anyone who does not have the time for a long-term commitment or is interested in working with a variety of arts groups.
Applications:
Accepted year-round.
Projects:
Very specific information is e-mailed to volunteers who have opted-in to receive it. Project details are provided by the arts organization making the request.
Project Scope:
One-day/evening "in-and-out,"two-to-three-hour-long projects ranging from ushering to working a booth at an event, to painting a set, to stuffing mailers
Examples
- Working at an opening night reception for the Contemporary Arts Center
- Distributing brochures at an arts fair
- Ushering at a theater production
Training:
On-site by the organization if needed
